*Thomack seeks judgment against WVU Hospitals for fees that are charged for copies of medical records. Thomack’s attorney sought copies of his records and was informed he would be charged $514.40 — 40 cents per page for 1,261 pages — and a $10 search fee before any documents would be sent to him. When they were received, it was not in the form of paper documents, rather a CD/DVD containing the records, he claims. Thomack claims the per page fee is an unreasonable fee since the records are maintained electronically.
